Well this has been quite a month so far, hasn't it?  I wanted to take a minute to welcome our 2 newest districts, Arlene Green in Gilmanton ad Lyn Bil in Hollis/Brookline.  Also, PLEASE try and get to the meeting and food show on Friday, March 17 (St. Patty's Day) at Londonderry Middle School.  I will be sending out directions and reminders as we get closer.  Much work has been put into this event, and it will be a great chance to see and vote on new items for next year!  We will be using an Ipad survey to vote on the items... If you want to see what we have so far, click on the link below.  Vacation is coming soon!  Tim

Welcome back everyone (although some of us never really left...).  In the 17 years of the group's existence, I cannot remember so many changes in the group in such a short period of time.  We have had old directors show up in new places, new directors in old places, and many new members altogether!  So, in no particular order...

John Lash went from Concord to Amherst
Amanda Venezia went from Hillsborough to Londonderry
Donna Reynolds went from ConVal to Concord
Tyfany Carbone went from Chester to Bow
Nancy Faucon kinda went into semi-retirement...
Michelle DuPont is the new Director in Hillsborough
Marty Davis has resurfaced in Hillsborough working with Michelle!

Our newest members are:
Sam Cowan  - Alton
Sarah Belanger - Auburn
Andrea Donovan - Candia
Leanne Sullivan, Chester
Cindy Nusbaum, Hooksett
Hilda Lawrence, Litchfield
Jen Burk, Milford

Let's welcome all the new folks and work together for another great school year!

Bid Information

Remember all the bids can be found on this website.  The actual bids and RFP's as submitted can be found on the Bids and RFP page, and other formats, such as Excel files and text files for importing as well as the e-Sysco order guide import file can be found on the Member Login page. You can find instructions on how to import the order guide file here.

I will be compiling a list of new and changed items we have come across over the summer soon and hopefully we will get these in house soon.  These include:
Skeeter Allsome CC cookie to replace the current item
J&J Philly style WG pretzel to replace the current 5 oz. item
Kellogg's 2 pack WG chocolate fudge pop tart
Chocolate Benefit bar from J&J
Steaz Iced Teas
Envy Juices
Chortles Mini Graham Crackers

Giorgio mini calzone and cheezy bread
Proview chicken items to possibly replace Emmaus
Tasty Brand mini bagels and those yummy onion rings.

These are all at different stages of procurement - so stay tuned!

Wow, what a crazy Thanksgiving.  I hope everyone got to enjoy some rest and relaxation, or indulge in some culinary endeavors with or without power!

We had a great meeting in ConVal a few weeks ago and saw more great items from 2 different brokers.  We especially liked the white WG pasta from Dakota Growers and the white WG bread items from BakeCrafters.  I am keeping a list of all the items we will be adding or changing, and trying top keep the number of items manageable.

Please remember that if you come across a new or exciting item that you think would have appeal to other members, please bring it forward at a meeting or submit it via the online form.

NHBG News Blog!

Hi Everyone!
I was thinking about ways other than endless email messages to communicate NHBG news with the members.  My first thought was a newsletter, but that seemed so 2010.  I then thought I would try a blog - so here it goes!

I hope everyone's year is settling into some semblance of normalcy.  I know we are all still struggling with the many challenges of our jobs, but remember there are others in the group that can help. I know several of you are preparing for Administrative Reviews this year, and many other have recently gone through one.  So - don't be afraid to reach out for help!

I hope you find this information helpful and informative.

IPS update

I recently spoke with Jenny from IPS (Institutional Purchasing Service),and she told me that those of you that signed up should see a rebate check within a few months.  It may not be a lot to start with, but any rebate is better than nothing, right?  Hopefully this will turn out to be a valuable partnership.
